Roger Smith

Roger Smith is a Haida artist from the Masset community on Haida Gwaii, known for his skill in traditional wood carving and graphic design. Growing up immersed in the rich artistic heritage of the West Coast, Roger developed a deep understanding of Haida formline and the storytelling power of ancestral crests. His work often features iconic figures such as the Raven and the Eagle, rendered with the balance and precision characteristic of classical Haida art. Through his carvings and designs, Roger seeks to honour his cultural roots and share the enduring strength of Haida traditions with future generations.
