Haida, Raven Clan
Allan Weir is a Haida artist from Old Masset, Haida Gwaii. He creates sculptural works and carvings in argillite and wood that are deeply rooted in Haida traditions, brought to life through an innovative and fresh perspective. Having apprenticed under renowned artist Christian White, Allan remains deeply connected to his heritage through traditional song and dance. His art is a medium for sharing Haida culture, inviting others to show respect for Indigenous traditions by engaging with his designs in their daily lives.
