Alex Janvier is a world-renowned pioneer of modern Indigenous art from Cold Lake First Nations, Alberta. As a member of the "Indian Group of Seven," he helped redefine the perception of Indigenous art in Canada. Throughout a career spanning several decades, Janvier has created monumental murals and intricate paintings that explore the complex relationships between land, culture, and history, making him a cornerstone of Canadian art history.
