Darrel Amos is a Haida artist belonging to the Raven clan of the Haida Nation from Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands). Inspired by his Uncle Fred Davis and other family members, Amos is known for his traditional Haida designs. His art developed significantly during periods spent in prison, where he found time and materials to nurture his talent. Amos's work is increasingly recognized and can be found in online galleries and on various products such as clothing and houseware through collaborations with Indigenous art platforms. He views his art as a way to affirm his identity, connect with his heritage, and give back to his community.
