Curtis Wilson

Curtis Wilson (1974–2019) was a dedicated artist from the Wei Wai Kum First Nation in Campbell River, BC. A member of the Liwidi’xw people, Curtis was known for his mastery of traditional Kwakwaka'wakw formline and his innovative approach to contemporary design. He was deeply involved in his community as a teacher and leader, using his art to preserve and revitalize the cultural traditions of his ancestors. His work remains a powerful legacy of his commitment to his heritage and his passion for sharing the beauty of Northwest Coast art with the world.
